
Background
Mike McManus is a patent litigation attorney with over 25 years of experience in patent litigation.

Prior to coming to BCLG, Mr. McManus served as an Administrative Law Judge on the Patent Trial and Appeal Board for nine years. As an APJ, Mr. McManus drafted hundreds of decisions concerning both ex parte patent appeals and inter partes reviews. During his tenure on the Board, he also served a long-term detail at the International Trade Commission advising on intellectual property matters, primarily section 337 litigation.
Prior to serving on the Board, Mr. McManus was a partner with several Washington, DC law firms where he represented clients in all phases of large-scale multi-patent litigation.
He is the lead author of Section 337 Investigations: Unfair Trade Practice Litigation Before the ITC (2014), published by Law Journal Press.
